About the International Affairs Department
The International Affairs Department acts in the global arena, in conjunction with other government offices and economic organizations, to promote the Ministry of Finance's economic and financial priorities, with an emphasis on:
- Adjusting economic regulations to ensure that they are consistent with international standards
- Fostering an open and competitive market
- Encouraging the activities of financial investors and financial institutions from abroad in the Israeli economy
- Creating a friendly environment for Israeli investors and Israeli financial institutions operating abroad
- Distributing economic information and facilitating economic transparency
To fulfill its mission, the International Affairs Department operates on three levels:
- International Organization Areas
- Regional Areas
- Bi-Lateral Areas
