The International Affairs Department acts in the global arena, in conjunction with other government offices and economic organizations,
to promote the Ministry of Finance's economic and financial issues, with an emphasis on:
- Accommodating and adjusting the Israeli economy to international standards represented in the current globalization processes.
- Creating an open and competitive market.
- Encouraging the activity of financial investors and financial institutions from abroad in the Israeli economy.
- Creating a friendly environment for Israeli investors and Israeli financial institutions abroad.
- Distributing economic information and economic transparency.
To attain its goals the International Affairs Department operates on four levels:
- International Organization Areas
- Regional Areas
- Bi-Lateral Areas
- Economic Information and Transparency
The International Affairs Department works in the formal and non-formal manner in each of the areas mentioned.
