Israel and the OECD
Note: This page contains only OECD related publications, reports and announcements written by the Ministry of Finance, over the years, until Israel's accession to the OECD in 2010: Israel was invited as a full member on May 10th, the government has approved the proposal on August 22nd. Q2 2011 OECD Observer for the 2nd quarter of 2011 contains an interview with Israel's Minister of Finance, Dr. Yuval Steinitz, on Israel's economic strategy, and articles on Israel's economic profile, banking sector, innovation and start-ups, tax notes for investors, immigration and employment, and tourism. November 2010 In light of Israel's recent acceptance to the OECD, a two day introduction seminar was held by representatives from the organization on how to maximize the benefits of Israel's membership.
August 2010 The government has approved the proposal by the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding the State of Israel’s membership in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development – the OECD.
August 2010 Israel was invited as a full member in the OECD on May 10th, 2010, and officially joined in September 10th, 2010.

May 2010 May 10, 2010, OECD Secretary-General, Angel Gurría, announced that the Organization's Governing Council, representing member economies, chose Israel as a full member in the OECD. The decision was made unanimously by all 31 members.
November 2009 Minister of Finance, Dr. Yuval Steinitz, announces the scheduled visit to Israel of the OECD Secretary-General in January 2010 prior to the completion of the accession process. The Socio-Economic Cabinet, headed by Minister Steinitz, discussed the process of Israel's accession to the OECD.
May 2009 This report constitutes a reminder of the professional work carried out by government ministries and agencies, and by parties in the private sector thus providing an opportunity to thank all those who have diligently pursued this endeavor despite the hardships encountered.

April 2007 The 2007 edition of "Israel: Ready for the OECD" expresses Israel's ability and political willingness to adopt the principles, philosophy and values of the OECD, and to assume the responsibilities of OECD membership. "Israel: Ready for the OECD" evaluates Israel's compliance with the OECD's high standards for multilateral cooperation.

March 2006 "Israel: Ready for the OECD" aims at evaluating Israel's compliance with OECD's high standards for multilateral cooperation. The report details Israel's progress in meeting the international objectives and best practices pursued by OECD members, reflecting Israel's commitment to the common vision of the OECD. Moreover, it illustrates Israel's contribution to addressing the challenges of globalization as well as contributing to the diversity of the Organization.
